Colby is professional and approachable. I was extremely anxious about having hip replacement surgery and he was able to put me more at ease and calm my fears. I went into surgery with little anxiety, because of Colby. After surgery, I never felt like a number. When a longer hospitalization was required, I felt a part of the decision and that my interests were being safeguarded. He cared more about my good outcome than in rushing me home. Overall, my experience was positive, and part of that was due to Colby and his great pre-operative and post-operative care.November 11, 2023

Mackenzie is excellent! Explained that in my new hip, I now have Bursitis! Maybe, I shouldn't have gotten my new hip 😑! She gave me some options to try. Hope something other than another surgery works.November 10, 2023

I was very impressed with Dr. Simonson. I went to see him to get a second opinion on my ankle that I broke while hiking Bryce Canyon. Dr Simonson said that I should let it heal and come back in a month for follow up Xray and exam to see how it was doing. I really like this as apposed to surgery, since I felt that my ankle was on the mend. What a relief, of course there is still the chance that I will need surgery, only time will tell.November 9, 2023

Dr. Bassett is kind attentive and cares for my needs. He cared to show me my Xrays and explain what it said and showed. I found this to be helpful and included me on the decisions. He gave me several options regarding treatments and advised me of what I can do and what not to do. I highly recommend him to anyone who can see him as their doctor. MNovember 9, 2023

My follow up with Colby this week was very disappointing and discouraging. I'm 11 weeks out on a total knee replacement and from the time I woke up from surgery I have been in pain. I get very little sleep because the pain on the inside of my knee is very bad at night. Colby had me put my leg up on a stool to check my extension (I think it would have been much better if I had been laying on the table). He also checked my flexion and feels that I'm not where I should be. He never once touched the knee itself. I have been slow to get my range of motion back, but work on it every day at home and with my PT. The only option Colby offered me was to "cut me open again" and clean out the scar tissue. This really shocked me - plus by opening me back up again it will create new scar tissue. My PT says the problem is I have severe muscle guarding. I asked Colby it he thought a muscle relaxant would help and he prescribed 10 days worth (not sure that will be enough to help). Before he left the room he made the comment that my knee is functional and this may be as good as it gets. This was so discouraging to me because I do not feel the knee is functional. I did the surgery so I could get back to riding my horse, doing dog agility with my dog and hiking - I left wondering if I will ever be able to do any of these activities again. Possibly this is a failed surgery, but my PT thinks I will improve with time - I sure hope so.November 9, 2023
