Dr. Richardson and his staff were outstanding. X-rays were taken even before my appointment time and he quickly diagnosed the issue. A kind, caring man with great communication skills.March 29, 2022

Edit: after 2 years I’m still in constant chronic pain from his neglect to treat my fracture from day one. I try not to leave negative reviews but I’m really heartbroken. I saw Dr. Richardson for a fractured finger and he didn’t fix it for me. Now I have arthritis, carpel tunnel and still can’t play the guitar a year later. Unfortunately it was partially my fault that I didn’t see him until a month after it happened. But I don’t think it was too late. He did say he’d have to ‘saw through or rebreak it’. But I would’ve rather had that done than living with it like this. I think he mainly played politics because I made the mistake of telling him I saw Dr. Judah Piffer first at Central AZ ortho first and he told me ‘as long as I can make a fist he didn’t think I needed surgery for the amount of correction’. So I truly think Dr. Richardson didn’t want to step on his toes and or set him up for a malpractice suit or something (which I’d never do). He just agreed with his first opinion. However he did say if I would’ve seen him first he would’ve did reduction and put a pin in it. Just breaks my heart he didn’t do that at the time. Even if it was a month later. It was still possible. The bone wasn’t fully healed by any measure. As a musician your fingers need to be perfect as I’ve learned my hand is having to compensate for the angle and rotation that it’s now permanently formed in. I wasn’t given a splint from either Dr. Pifer or Richardson. Just a counseling session that I need to accept things aren’t perfect sometimes. I’m sure he’s an excellent surgeon but for whatever reason he didn’t use his expertise to help me and now I have to live with this for life. Every morning I wake up and my hand is so stiff I can barely close it. all day my knuckle wants to pop cause of the pressure from the angle and stress it puts on it. My hand is cold from a poor circulation and I hope I don’t develop something worse from poor circulation. My wrist hurts too. And overall it put me in a state of major depression that has lead me down a negative path in life from losing my ability to play guitar. I don’t know if it’s too late or not but if Dr. Richardson thinks he can fix it for me still reach out to me and I’ll come in for an appointment and change this review.March 29, 2022
